Cedar Shingles
Cedar Shingle Specification
Cedar shingles are supplied by the bundle either untreated or treated with a
Osmose Naturewood (AC500) preservative treatment in compliance with BS 8417. A
fire retardant treatment is available upon request.
The John Brash product range under the JB BLUE brand covers the following types
of shingles:
XXXXX – 400mm
Perfections – 450mm
Royals – 600mm
(clean, preservative treated and fire retardant treated available)
The Cedar shingles are sawn to length but are in random widths. The most widely
used shingle is the XXXXX (5X), which is 16" long (400mm). Only one grade is available
- No.1 Grade Blue Label Certigrade.
