Timber is the most environmentally friendly building material and a naturally
renewable resource; 1m3 of timber absorbs 1 tonne of CO2. John Brash has a strong environmental policy and all timber scaffold boards
are legally and sustainably sourced. John Brash buy PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement
of Forest Certification) boards wherever possible and has full chain of custody
under licence number PEFC/16-37-040.
CPET, Central Point of Expertise on Timber (www.proforest.net/cpet), is a Government directive stipulating that only timber from legal and sustainable
sources can be used on government funded projects, often including a requirement
for PEFC accredited scaffold boards. John Brash can offer individual PEFC labelling
of each scaffold board, ensuring full chain of custody certification.
